The denim-on-denim trend has been around since a long time now. Denim-on-denim trend is a little tricky but when done correctly, it looks amazing. This trend is one of the most worn street styles out there. 1. Maintain the right balance:
The key to pulling off the look is having the right balance. Break up your look with staples like a white or a striped tee. If you are a complete beginner, start out by pairing different shades of denim together like a white jeans with blue denim jacket, or a black jeans with a chambray shirt. It's almost impossible to go wrong this way.
2. Don't wear denim accessories:
Keep the denim confined to your clothing, and just say 'no' to denim shoes, a denim hat, a denim handbag, or any other denim accessory. Denim accessories with denim on denim can make your look completely go wrong. As i said, the key is having the right balance.
3. Use denim shades to flatter or hide body parts:
As a general rule, the lighter shades of denim draw attention to the body parts they cover, while darker shade creates a slimming effect. For many women this means that dark denim jeans, and a lighter denim top or jacket is the most flattering way to go.
4. Don't wear a denim outfit that's all the same weight or wash:
Avoid wearing denim outfit that has the same color or wash. You don't want to look too matchy-matchy.
5. Do dress up your double denim:
Don't be afraid to elevate your look with a pair of statement heels or a fabulous red lips.
